Probably to Christopher Hughes, U.S. Minister to Sweden, on leave 9 Sept. 1841, and visiting London en route to the U.S., where he wrote from the Tremont House (Boston) to JQA, 22 Oct. 1841 ( 310916), mentioning "my little London Notes left to amuse you."
