- Archival Notes: Evidence to support this change: (1) reference to JA's "approaching birthday" i.e. 30 October; (2) reference to two incomplete pictures being painted by Stuart, which are clearly those of JQA and LCA which Stuart had begun during JQA's stay in Boston early in Oct. 1825 (see Boylston to JQA, 4 Oct. 1825, 251821); (3) reference to "pantaloons" which relates this letter to others on the same subject such as JQA to Boylston, 8 Nov. 1825 (
