- A detailed account of legal services as John Hancock's lawyer for the period between March 1769 and January 1772. Page one identifies the cases and individuals with costs. Page two (A.D.S.) summarizes the payments from Hancock and concludes with a general receipt. At the foot of page one Adams wrote "The affair in the Admiralty is omitted for the Present. Mr. Price has promised to give me the Particulars Tomorrow—I had much rather leave that to Mr. Hancock's Pleasure, but if he choose to have me make an account of it, I will do it tomorrow."
