This uncolored 1743 engraving is the second state of a 1726 engraving of Harvard College. The 1726 engraving, attributed to John Harris, was based on William Burgis's view of Harvard College and was the first engraving to focus on an American College. Of the three buildings portrayed in the engraving, only one, Massachusetts Hall (the building depicted on the right), survives today.
