Photographs of Boston, Massachusetts.

Collection Description

More than 500 photographs of Boston from the 1850s to the present, comprising both original and copy photographs. Photographs are arranged into several broad groups including buildings, cemeteries, churches, Common, the Great Fire of 1872, Boston Harbor, hospitals, hotels, houses, monuments, Public Garden, railroads, streets and views. Photographers represented in this collection include George M. Brayton, William T. Clark, Baldwin Coolidge, Augustine H. Folsom, John P. Soule, and John A. Whipple.
