Abstract
This collection consists of the professional papers of John W. Sears, Massachusetts state representative, Suffolk County sheriff, and chairman of the Finance Commission of Boston, Metropolitan District Commission, and the Massachusetts Republican Party, 1952-2005. The collection contains papers related to Sears's involvement with Massachusetts and Boston politics, as well as work with the Republican State Committee, Republican City Committee of Boston, Gerald Ford's presidential campaign, and metropolitan parks.
