Collection Description
The collection consists of personal papers of Boston physician George Cheever Shattuck, a professor of tropical medicine at Harvard Medical School and a pioneer in the field of tropical medicine. The collection includes correspondence with family and friends, diaries, calendars, financial records, subject files, and printed material reflecting Shattuck's personal interests and involvement with political and professional organizations, conservative political organizations, conservation, travel, and medical care during World War I.

The papers are loosely organized by subject in alphabetical order, though the alphabetical order repeats itself at various intervals.
